œResearch
In our laboratory, we are working to bring out the unique properties derived from the nanaoscle in bulk materials. Nanosheets, such as graphene, have a stacked structure due to van der Waals forces and ƒΞ-ƒΞ interactions. By exfoliating and thinning these layered minerals, electrical properties or thermal properties of nanosheets improve. In addition to establishing a process for extracting nanosheets, we are conducting research on high-strength films, highly thermally conductive films, electromagnetic shielding coatings, and hybrid composite materials that utilize nanosheets.
